About this space

Welcome to my space where Black life is taken seriously as theory, memory, warning, and possibility all at once. This is not a neutral blog. It is a digital notebook of Black thought that refuses to separate feelings from intellect or survival from analysis. Each post is a short experiment in thinking with a concept that answers a question. The question is always the same: what does this mean for how we are being lived, killed, and imagined otherwise?

In this space, Black critical theory is not an academic exercise, it is the language we reach for when the world will not explain itself. I write from the long line of Black writers who braid personal voice with sharp analysis, who turn daily experiences and difficult concepts into tools for seeing more clearly and fighting more precisely. Each entry treats Black thought as both theory and testimony: an argument about the world and a record of what it feels like to move through it with a Black body, a Black mind, a Black memory.

You will not find easy optimism here, but you will find clarity, care, companionship and language that doesn’t flinch. These are short reads for people who sense that something is off in the stories we are told about safety, justice, progress, and belonging. Together, we will sit with hard truths and trace the quiet ways Black people keep reimagining their worlds in books, in streets, in classrooms, in kitchens, in worlds that don’t yet exist but are already being practiced.
